It happened on Saturday night at the Ilume Apartments on Cedar Springs.

Mark Simon had only stepped out to see a friend down the hall.

They returned and startled the burglar who had already taken some of Simon’s valuables.

Simon told his friend to take photos of the burglar.

The burglar had a backpack full of stolen electronics that he gave back before running out the back door.

“He just kept trying to leave and finally got frustrated he said ‘fine.’ He took out my Amazon Echo and my headset and my Apple TV and just left it on the counter,” said Simon.

Dallas Police have questioned the suspect but have told Simon they are still investigating.
