DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas firefighters responded to a fire at Sunshine Recycling, at 2019 Ruder Street, around 3:00 p.m. Monday.

The fire involves a large pile of metal, including cars and appliances.

As of 8:30 p.m. firefighters were still in the process of fighting this fire with multiple master streams of water, while simultaneously digging out metal to expose the hot spots.

A lot of work still has to be done, and they expect to continue their efforts into the morning hours, according to a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson.

There have been no reported injuries and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
