Archibald was reported missing by his wife after making suicidal remarks to her Sunday afternoon. But Collin County deputies couldn’t find him at the time of her initial report.

“Although we do not have an exact cause of death at this time, the preliminary investigation indicates that Jacob may have slipped and fell approximately eight feet into the creek hitting his head on the way down. The Collin County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to rule out any foul play,” Anna Police said on Facebook Wednesday afternoon.
