TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) – An Indiana National Guard soldier died following a training accident Thursday at Fort Hood, Army officials confirmed.

It happened after he sustained injuries during a tactical vehicle crash.

The name of the soldier is withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center, Fort Rucker, Alabama will investigate the incident.
