At the ITC you’ll find plenty of friendly people who really love to play hockey, especially on these two regular-sized NHL rinks that are kept in ideal hockey-playing condition. From beginner A and B levels to advanced C and D levels, the Ice Training Center offers well-organized, non-contact leagues for both men and women to get their game on. It’s also the only rink in DFW with women’s hockey. Join a game as a free agent, or sign up as a team. You can be certain the ice on the two NHL regulation rinks at NYTEX center is nice, especially because this is the official home of the Texas Brahmas professional hockey team. With four league divisions offered throughout the year, beginners or experienced players will find a perfect fit. If you’re new to the sport, go for the instructional league (I-League), where you’ll learn everything from skating to playing the game in just 12 weeks.

The SSHL is the official adult hockey league of the Dallas Stars, offering five divisions from A to D2 played at the Farmers Branch, Frisco, Euless and McKinney facilities. Playing on this league not only gets you an average of five games per month or 30 games plus playoffs during the fall-winter season, but players also receive VIP benefits including a Dallas Stars ticket package and team outing to a Stars Game. If you’re not a team member, sign up as a free agent, or drop in for a session. For those wanting to learn the sport, try out the 12-session instructional league (I-League) on Friday evenings at the Plano, Frisco and McKinney facilities. If you need to improve your skating skills to get your game on, take one of the Laura Stamm International Power Skating clinics for hockey players of all ages and abilities.

This non-profit Christian hockey organization offers five league divisions for beginners to advanced players ranging from B level for lenient skill restrictions, to the D2 for strictly controlled skill levels. Player’s fees are collected individually rather than by team, with convenient payment plans available. Playing a total of  21 games throughout the season, leagues get the chance to play at a variety of area rinks including Grapevine Mills Mall, Starcenters, ITC in Richardson and the Allen Community Rink.

If you want to play hockey in Arlington, this is the place to go. ICE at the Parks may happen to be the only ice skating rink in the area, but this NHL-regulation rink offers plenty of opportunities for hockey enthusiasts to get in on a game. The variety of adult leagues offered here gives players on every level a chance to compete in whatever capacity they wish — from playing on leagues with an assortment of ages, to hanging out with their own aged crew. If joining a league is too demanding for your schedule, then drop in for a game on Monday and Wednesday nights from 10 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. for only $10.
