When you think about Texas, you don’t normally think about Irish pubs. However, when you’re looking for a place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, it’s usually ideal to be able to enjoy an “authentic” Irish pub atmosphere, or at least as authentic as you can get here in Dallas. These are some of the best places to go for some Irish food, Irish whiskey and green beer, as well as some live music and fun for St. Patrick’s Day.

The Blackfriar is also Irish owned. The atmosphere and decor in this pub is interesting and welcoming. A lot of the decor inside came from the Hard Rock Cafe that was once right next door. Some woodwork came from a castle in England owned by Pete Townshend of The Who. Blackfriar often has craft beers that are rotating so you can always look forward to something new on the beer menu. On St. Patrick’s Day, you can enjoy live music on the patio, dishes like corned beef and cabbage, and plenty of good beer.
