The World Cup is one of the biggest soccer events of the year. It’s a great event to enjoy with a large group and lots of great food and drinks. Luckily, there are plenty of bars around DFW that will be showing the game on the big screen and will offer up a great seat while serving up cold beers. These are some of the best spots in DFW to enjoy watching the World Cup this year.

The Allen Wickers is a new pub and European-style football house in Plano. Of course, when we say football, we do mean soccer. This is a great place to become a regular if you are a fan of beer and football. TVs are scattered throughout the bar and restaurant so there isn’t really a bad seat in the house. In addition to its eclectic beer menu, it also has great food that is made fresh from scratch. For the big games, if the pub needs to open early to make sure you can catch the game, it will, because that’s how seriously it take its football.

There is always a calendar of upcoming games around the pub and the place gets pretty crowded during the bigger games. The menu includes British favorites as well as some American classics. The Londoner offers a wide variety of unique beers as well as specialty cocktails, wines, scotches and spirits. In addition to the many TVs, there are also pool tables and darts. The atmosphere and decor will make you feel like you are taking a trip across the pond to London without having to travel very far.

Trinity Hall in Dallas has been around since 2001. It has a reputation for having great food, created by Chef Oscar, and great beer options. There is a patio that is great during beautiful weather. In addition to a commitment to great food and a friendly atmosphere, Trinity Hall also has a commitment to soccer and rugby. In fact, the large TVs are only on when there is a match. You can find Spanish, English, Italian, German and USA’s MLS matches on very often. Trinity Hall likes to encourage conversation but understands the importance of making sure you can see a good match.
