When it comes time to celebrate Valentine’s Day it is all about the romance, and most people in the DFW area will know exactly where to go with their sweethearts to celebrate the holiday. However, the DFW area also has some great places that lovers from all over the country can come to in order to celebrate the romantic holiday in style. Here is a look at some great travel destinations in the DFW area for lovers to have the most romantic day of their lives.
Dallas ArboretumThe Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is on the east shores of White Rock Lake and has an immersive 66 acres of manicured lawns, lush trees and blooming flower beds. This is the perfect place to take a romantic walk with a loved one and lose yourself in the beauty of nature. There are over 2,400 different types of azaleas in the gardens, including some that are normally only seen in China. The land also has beautiful statues and the amazing DeGolyer Mansion to admire. Admission is $12 per adult and they are open every day from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Ft. Worth Japanese GardensMuch like Dallas, Fort Worth has their own gardens and they offer a very different experience for lovers who want to take a romantic walk through nature on Valentine’s Day. These are the Japanese Gardens, with various paths leading couples to some of the most exquisite and beautiful Imperial Carp imaginable to view and feed. This is a seven-acre plot of land, and while much smaller than the Dallas Arboretum, that does not take away from the natural beauty and romance of walking through the Japanese Gardens. There are Japanese maple trees, many beautifully designed bridges, a traditional tea house, and much more for a very romantic getaway. They are open daily from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and admission is $5.

Beaumont RanchFor couples wanting something a little more fun for Valentine’s Day this year, the Beaumont Ranch might be the perfect destination. This is an 800-acre working cattle ranch located 30 minutes south of the DFW area. The Beaumont Ranch is open to numerous events including weddings, formals, retreats, parties and just regular trips for anyone wanting to experience the great outdoors. They offer tours, trial rides, cattle driving adventures, zip lining, shooting and archery ranges, and much more. This will give any couple the chance to ride with real cowboys and will deliver a Valentine’s Day that won’t soon be forgotten.
