Attorney’s General get together again this week to talk about BP oil spill legal strategy. The gulf states Attorney’s General have been meeting on a regular basis, both in person and by phone, since shortly after the explosion that killed 11 people, sunk the Deepwater Horizon and started the huge oil spill in the gulf. This Wednesday all of them including Attorney General Greg Abbott get together in Mobile Alabama again and this time they will be joined by US Attorney General Eric Holder. It’s possible Holder will update them on the criminal investigation that is underway into the explosion and oil spill and the gulf states Attorney’s General will talk about civil legal action that they are contemplating. This will be the first meeting since tar balls were found on the Texas coast that might be linked to the BP spill, although more testing is being done to see how many of those tar balls may have actually come from the spill.
