Cornyn Hopes Congress Feels Immigration Pressure

With parts of the Arizona immigration law on hold Senator John Cornyn hopes pressure will be increased on Congress to do something about immigration reform.  Senator Cornyn says he is against state’s passing their own immigration laws as Arizona did but he understands the pressure states are under to deal with the situation created because Congress and the administration have failed to act.  “Maybe the federal government ought to double down and do its job so maybe the state’s wouldn’t feel that pressure.”  Cornyn says while he doesn’t like state’s passing immigration reform themselves he also doesn’t think the federal government should have stepped in and filed suit against Arizona challenging the law.

It’s an election year what did people really expect would be done, eventually I believe it will be passed. All immigrants need to be legal to be in the U.S.A. It’s not fair to the immigrants that are legal. I believe it also keeps wages low and that’s not exceptable.
