A Fort Worth officer is now home from the hospital just two days after nearly getting killed by a murder suspect. The officer was trying to pull over a man wanted in the kidnapping of a College Station woman who was the mother of his ex-girlfriend. Before the officer knew it, the suspect had swerved his SUV 180 degrees and came back at him, speeding on a head-on, collision course. He slammed into the squad car which burst into flames. Fort Worth police sergeant Pedro Criado says it looked bad for the officer but his injuries did not turn out to be life-threatening and, in fact, he’s now been released from the hospital. Meanwhile, Stanley Wayne Robertson is still in the hospital and now facing capital murder charges. Saturday, a police helicopter spotted the body of College Station resident Anne Toliver in a parking lot on Camp Bowie Boulevard.
