Mother of Long-Haired Boy Won't Back Down (Audio)

The mother of the Hill County boy being punished with “in school suspension” because his hair is too long for the school’s dress code isn’t giving up her fight.  She went to address the Itasca School Board last night. CBS 11 has that.

Tonight, I spoke with Kenneth Fails mother, Marsha Wisnosky.  Listen:

I know you want to comment.   Go for it!

I work for a school district. I understand this parent has decided she didn’t like the rule because it makes her son conform to ‘normal’ standards which is what school districts try to do in setting their ‘rules’. If a district had to ‘justify’ every rule, there would be parents to object to any one of the ‘rules’ just because they didn’t like the justification and they had a different belief. The district would spend all their time putting out those fires and being distracted from the business of educating all kids. The result is anarchy. That’s why there are rules in the first place. If she didn’t agree with a traffic rule because she didn’t understand or want to adhere to the justification, would she plead discrimination if she got caught not abiding by the traffic rule? The difference between the causes that she cited was that they were truly discriminatory and not a matter of choice as you tried to point out. I’m sure that Marion Barber and whoever else she said were her son’s idols had to adhere to certain dress codes when they were in school and would probably appreciate not being used in her argument. They are adults now and can make those choices themselves in the profession they’ve chosen. Many employers have dress codes that include haircuts, too. You can’t use the cafeteria plan when it comes to following rules, no matter who the governing authority is. Her assertion that she would be reported for child abuse for holding her son down to cut his hair is absurd. She IS the parent and should tell him that’s the way it is and he can get over it. She needs to get a life that will show there are far greater battles that need to be fought as time goes on that could actually make a difference. She’s found a platform and her 15 minutes of fame…and the other side of that coin is there’s a fool born….

This lady is the one mentally molesting her son, can you believe being the talk of the school?? Oh poor little Kenny won’t cut his hair? Look… Here come tKenny’s Psycho mom with her “FREE KENNY” T-Shirt. What a very crappy excuse of a parent, this is borderline Child Abuse.

    Here are your choices lady:

    A) Cut your kids hair
    B) Be the parent
    C) Obey the school rule (Yea, the real world is full of them)
    D) Home school your kid
    E) Find a Private School that will accept his long hair

Everybody else follows the school policy… don’t like it?? then GET OUT!

  4. Eddie says:

I’ve never heard of short hair nor long hair that will cause you to get a passing or failing grade. When will enough be enough. The schools job is to provide that kid with a good education. So that this world would be a better place for all of us to live.
