Hoax: Woman Burned Own Face With Acid

Police say a Vancouver, Washington woman threw acid in her own face, then lied to investigators, saying a woman she did not know was responsible.
Vancouver Police Chief Clifford Cook said Thursday that Bethany Storro admitted to fabricating a story about the attack in which she suffered severe burns.
Cook says he does not know a motive for Storro’s actions.
Cook says discrepancies began to emerge during the investigation. Storro had said a woman with a ponytail attacked her on Aug. 30.
Cook says Storro is “very remorseful.”

What possibly could have been the motive? I don’t care how much money I could extort, hate someone so much, need something so dearly that I would voluntarily mame or ruin my body to accomplish that goal! If it was a suicide attempt that backfired, I would have still picked a less awful way to do it.

I take it she’s not getting the new job she was “celebrating” when she poured acid on her face…. YEA.. I DIDN’T THINK SO….

Why did she do it? It’s simple. She’s mentally ill. What other reason is there?
