While 18 people recover from their injuries, state troopers are trying to learn why their charter bus crashed on I-35 north of Sanger over the weekend. Among the 18, five were ejected through the bus’s windows, causing some very serious injuries. There will be more inspections this week but, so far, investigators have not found anything seriously wrong with the bus. At first, DPS reports quoted the bus driver as saying that another vehicle cut him off, forcing him to take evasive action and causing him to hit a concrete. But it seems there was a language barrier with the Spanish-speaking driver, so a DPS spokesman says there may be more to it. For example, they’re looking into whether the driver may have a medical condition that contributed to the crash.
