Cowboys rumors – I'm not buying it.

fan wadejerry2 post Cowboys rumors I'm not buying it.

The rumor mill swirling via a blog post on a website that says Wade Phillips might be gone by Monday and that Jerry Jones is inquiring with others about a coaching change.  I’m not buying it at the moment.

How can a new head coach fix this thing?  I’ve never heard of the web site that is posting this story (, but I will say this.  Talked to a former coach today who called the Cowboys scene a “clown show.”   It is bad, but not that bad.
Changes?  Not many can be made.  Maybe a little more Dez here (who has a little bit of a rib problem but is okay)
and a little kicker change there (if he doesn’t perform this week), but there are not a lot of options out there.   Also, word is that Leonard Davis is struggling at guard but again, what are you going to do to fix that? Montrae Holland?

Had a chance to visit with the great Charlie Pride today at VR for about a half hour.  Also visited with Miles Austin for about twenty minutes talking anything but football.  He’s a big fan of a new HBO show called “Boardwalk Empire.”  A New Jersey based show around prohibition times.  There are a lot of things wrong with the Cowboys right now, but Miles Austin is not on the list.  Austin leads the league in catches (20) and yardage (288).  He ain’t the problem folks.

We have to realize that the Cowboys are off to a very rocky start. However, there is a glimmer of hope in the schedule. To be perfectly frank, the schedule is pretty tough, but things can get better for America’s Team!!! It’s that things offensively have been pretty dificult. At this time, the cowboys will have to regain its focus as a team and concentrate on getting the ball to the Redzone a whole lot more. Understand one thing, the defense has allowed points when it should have played harder especially in the redzone areas on the opponents end of the field. At least the offense itself need to run the ball a whole lot more than passing. The reason why I say this is because the offensive line itself is very strong, at times they struggle with teams with towering defenses. Especially teams that use the 46 defense and the 3-4 defense very well. The run blitz should be utilized at times during the game if you want your team to contain the opponents offensive schemes and plays.

At times during both games the oponents defensive plays changed a whole lot during the 2 games therefore, demoralizing the team offensively.

Romo is their biggest problem! He throws behind his receivers. He has lost the trust of his teammates. Also, Special teams has sucked for three years.
