Local High School Forfeits 2009-10 Season

Several players and parents are frustrated to hear that all of  The Colony High School’s basketball games from last season are now forfeited.  It turns out one of The Colony’s players was ineligible because of residency issues.  When the Lewisville School District realized that, they reported it to the UIL which then ordered The Colony to forfeit all of its wins from a season that ended with a semi-final appearance in the state basketball tournament.  It seems one of the players and his family lived in a motel paid for by someone connected to the school’s basketball program.  That player is now living in Dallas and attending Kimball High School.
