CNN Brings Coverage of Super Bowl 45 to Arlington
Fort Worth may have ESPN, but Arlington has reeled in CNN and some of its sister networks. Game coverage for CNN, CNN International and CNN Headline News will air from the Arlington Convention Center during the week leading up to Super Bowl 45 in early February. Tara Green, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the North Texas Super Bowl 45 Host Committee, says this is great news for Arlington. The CNN coverage will be seen around the globe, helping “…brand Arlington as the home of Cowboys Stadium.”
When Cowboys stadium opened last year, Arlington leaders were upset when network broadcasters commonly placed the stadium in Dallas, including frequent references to the stadium as “The Palace in Dallas.”
ESPN announced in July that it would anchor its coverage from Sundance Square in Fort Worth.
