Burned Body Identified As DeSoto Woman

FOREST, Miss. (AP) – Scott County authorities have identified a burned body found October 17 off a local road near Lake, Mississippi, as a Texas woman.

Sheriff Mike Lee says investigators believe the slaying of the victim, 32-year-old Kizzy Richardson Walker of DeSoto, occurred in Texas and her body was brought to east Mississippi and set on fire.

Lee says DeSoto authorities have charged Gregory Walker with murder in the woman’s death. Walker was being held in the local jail.

Lee says the investigation was continuing.

I think what he did to my cousin was selfish he took someone from us that was a gift. I too was a victim and and now a survivor of domestic violence. He would have been more of a man to let her go not take her away from so many that loved her.

    How sad.
