What Will Jerry Jones Do?

By Wally Lynn for 105.3 The Fan

Irving (105.3 The Fan) Well, the Wade Watch is on today.  There is even a rumor out there that Phillips rode home on Jerry’s private jet to discuss…something.  Said Jerry after the game regarding Wade’s future

“I’m not talking about that right now,” Jones said. “I’m concerned. I can’t put my finger on it, because I don’t have enough fingers. There are a lot of people here that are going to suffer consequences, and I’m talking about within the team – players, coaches that have careers. This is certainly a setback.”

People are still wondering about the Brian McCann fumble that turned into a touchdown at the end of the first half.  Had the clock been under 2:00, then you would have seen an official called replay.  But since the Cowboys were out of timeouts, one of which was used to challenge a 2 yard touchdown run by Brandon Jackson which was an idiotic call considering it would have still been 2nd and goal with the overturn, they had left themselves without a challenge.

This streak of mediocrity is not just the young guys.  What the hell is Terrence Newman thinking when he had a soccer moment and kicked the ball after the Jay Ratliff  blocked field goal.  The Cowboys would have had the ball at the 44 yard line, but instead were backed up to the 18.  Jason Witten did not get a piece of Clay Matthews on a first half drive that ended with his stuffing in the back field.

What will Jerry do today?  He knows this is going to kill him in the pocket book.  How many people will be there for the 1-8 Cowboys vs. the Lions in two weeks. All things that are running through his mind as we speak.  Stay tuned.

Jerry and Stephen need to quit trying to be the darftmasters and let the coaches with the brains select. I would even suggest paying Jimmy Johnson to pick in the next draft. Marion Barber looks like my Grandpa playing football
with my kids after a Thanksgiving meal! Romo has to have a little “Can’t get the job done” Danny White in his gene pool!

Jerry knows he has to do something, if only for his own state of mind. He doesn’t want to spend too much money because he is not sure what is going to happen next year. Here is an idea for Jerry; fire Wade and hire Todd Dodge. Dodge is out of work, can probably be had cheap and was one of the best high school football coaches around. Since the Cowboys couldn’t beat many of the high school playoff teams in Texas right now, Dodge seems like a logical choice to take the team to the next level.

all this will not matter is jerry does not get us a real coach. and about your todd dodge comment. he is not a good coach, he proved that at unt. todd dodge was why sc won, its their football program, meaning starting from little league thru high school all one system. learn football before you make a comment
