DFW AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) – The group that welcomes troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan will be a whole lot bigger at DFW Airport Thursday.

Because of Veterans Day, Donna Cranston with Welcome Home a Hero says they’re expecting up to a thousand people of all ages to take time out of their day to wave flags and cheer for the soldiers arriving home for some rest.

“They are all very, very appreciative that the people they have chosen to serve do support them,” Cranston said. Cranston says they are expecting as many as a thousand people at the airport Thursday.

The flight arrives at 12:30PM at Terminal B, Door 37 at DFW Airport.  Those who plan to attend are told to arrive early and park in the 1 hour parking lot.
