Texas State University Students Want Guns On Campus

SAN MARCOS (CBSDFW.COM) – Students at Texas State University in San Marcos are the first in Texas to support legislation that would allow guns on campus.

Mike Guzman, Chief Justice of the TSU Student Supreme Court, says the student government voted 24 to 10 to allow people who have a concealed weapon permit to bring their guns to class.

Guzman says recent violence and threats involving guns on other college campuses have changed the way many students think about weapons on campus:

Students hope this will send a message to the State Legislature, which has the final say.

Imagine that — the US Constitution applying on college campuses! What next — freedom of speech and freedom of religion there?
