CBS DFW has found some quick and easy new years dishes that can be party pleasers.
You’ll want to keep snacks and hors d’oeuvres simple – try party platters that you can prep ahead of time.
“It’s got a variety of meats, cheeses and pickled vegetables. Its great because you can actually make a big platter of it the night before, stick it in the fridge, put some plastic over it – when your friends come out, you can take it out and have everyone nosh on it,” says chef Kenny Bowers.
Bowers says meatball sliders are bite-size, portable snacks – and are the perfect addition to any party. And that it all starts with a simple meatball recipe. ”I like to use fresh bread because it keeps the meatballs moist
Add milk and fresh basil – then stir in a meat mixture of ground beef and pork.
Scoop – shape and place on lined baking sheet. After about 20-minutes…they’re ready for the rolls.
