LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) – Despite frigid temperatures and snow, 5-year-old Aidan Kate Isaacs grabbed the nearest comb, rushed outside and reported like a pro. Aidan Kate’s snow report, captured by her father on home video, has gone viral after Dad sent it in to CNN’s iReport feature.

“She decided to play weather reporter and she decided we needed an update on what was happening with the snow,” Marc Isaacs said.

Aidan Kate popped up on television stations in Los Angeles, Portland and Tampa, among others.

You could say her talent is in her blood: Dad was once a weathercaster in Houston. Her mother, Bonnie Petrie, is the afternoon anchor at KRLD NewsRadio 1080. “She comes to the radio station with me a lot,” Petrie said. “I’ll file a report, and then she’ll have to file her own report. That’s our deal.”

In the home video, Aidan Kate is seen holding a comb like it’s a microphone. Snow falls from the sky behind her. At one point, the 5-year-old slips. She didn’t fall, however, and continued her report without missing a beat.
