FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – The latest forecast models have arrived.  They haven’t changed too much from earlier runs.  If anything they have come in a little colder and a little faster with the front.

Light rain will develop after midnight in Dallas/Fort Worth.  By 6am the cold front will arrive in the Metroplex sending temperatures into the 30s.

8am to Noon
This is the time frame where we have the possibility of freezing rain in the Metroplex.  Temperatures will be dropping to or just below freezing during this time frame.  Precipitation will be very light and likely be tapering off toward noon.

There could be a few icy spots on bridges and overpasses, but impacts are expected to be minimal because the precipitation will be light and temperatures will not be too far below freezing.  Winds will be gusting to 35 or 40 miles per hour during this time frame.  It will feel like it is in the teens and 20s all morning.

Noon to 4pm
Temperatures will stay in the mid to low 30s with winds gusting to 35 miles per hour.  The precipitation will be shifting into East Texas by this timeframe.
