ARLINGTON (Sports Network) – The Texas Rangers reinstated catcher/first baseman Mike Napoli from the 15-day disabled list Monday.
Napoli was placed on the disabled list June 12 with a strained left oblique muscle.
The 29-year-old, who was acquired by Texas in the offseason, is hitting .221 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI in 46 games this year.
To make room on the roster, Texas optioned catcher Taylor Teagarden to Triple- A Round Rock.
Teagarden has hit .269 with two RBI over nine games in three different stints with the Rangers this season. He recorded a career-high three hits in a game Friday against the Florida Marlins.
