DFW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CBSDFW.COM) – An American Airlines flight from San Diego made a memorable landing for the 140 passengers on board Thursday afternoon.

According to American Airlines, the MD 80 was on approach to DFW International Airport when the crew noticed an odor in the cabin.
The crew decided to land AA flight 1116 at 1:22 as planned, but unloaded the passengers on the west runway as a precaution, rather than taxi to the terminal.

None of the passengers or the 5 crew members on board were injured.  The passengers were taken by bus from the plane to the terminal, the plane was then towed to American’s maintenance facility on the eastern side of the airport.
