DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) – The University of North Texas unveiled the new Mean Green Stadium to CBS 11/TXA 21 Sports on Tuesday.

The $78 million stadium is less than two months from hosting its first game when North Texas faces the University of Houston Cougars on Sept. 10.

Mean Green Stadium will hold 30,850 and has state of the art facilities that include 21 suites, a club level and a crystal clear video board in the North End Zone that will keep fans informed and entertained.

North Texas Head Coach Dan McCarney visited with CBS 11’s Bill Jones to talk about how the new stadium is creating excitement across campus and rejuvenating the football team.

McCarney also talked about how he’s stepping into the role as UNT’s new coach, and what’s ahead for the program.
