Prosecution Rests In Polygamist Leader Trial

SAN ANGELO (AP) – Prosecutors in Texas have rested their child sexual assault case against a polygamist religious leader after playing an audio recording of him having sex with a 12-year-old girl.

The tape played Wednesday wrapped up five days of testimony against Warren Jeffs. The 55-year-old head of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is accused of sexually assaulting two underage girls he took as brides in so-called spiritual marriages.

Two previous recordings were of Jeffs instructing a 14-year-old on how to please him sexually.

Jeffs’ church believes polygamy brings exaltation in heaven, and followers see Jeffs as a prophet who is God’s spokesman on earth.

The case goes to Jeffs, who is acting as his own attorney but didn’t cross-examine any witnesses for the state.

This pervert/pedofile needs to be put away for life. What a sick excuse for a human being.

He took away the innocence of young girls, ergo, he effectively killed them. His genitals should be splashed with gasoline and set on fire. Then as he’s squirming around, he should be finished off with a .12 gauge. IN A PUBLIC SQUARE!

All we have to do is lock him up in prison. The occupants of that facility will learn of his reason for incarceration, and deal with him most certainly.

I have comfort in knowing that we have God, and He will deal with this man with His perfect justice. Man’s justice will always fail us, but God’s never does. He knows the heart of this man, and no lawyer, no court will free him of his impending judgment by God’s own hand.

Let us also remember in prayer the children who were robbed of their innocence by this man and his brainwashed followers. All members of that cult need some intervention as to the proper way to raise children, keeping them in innocence and purity, to mature in their own time, on their own schedule.

I also understand that they use waterboarding of youngsters to plant the seeds of blind obedience, once they show any independent thought or action. This heinous act within the cult needs to STOP, as well.

Yeah. I agree. His dance card will be full in the joint, and then when they tire of him, it’s shankin’ time!
