With the extreme heat and high evaporation rates, water levels are dropping over North Texas. Despite the rain this past Saturday, homes and businesses are continuing to use near record levels of water.  Some area lake ramps and docks are closed.  Here are the latest lake & reservoir levels:

Water restrictions are underway over parts of our area as well.  The North Texas Municipal Water District has enacted stage 2 water conservation…no watering between 10a and 6p and landscape watering only on two days per week.  The overall district’s water level is down to 68%.  Lake Texoma is offline for water supply because of the zebra mussels problem.  Tarrant Regional Water District has lost 5% of it’s water reserves over the past month.  At 75% capacity, TRWD will impose stage 1 water restrictions.  Here are the different water districts’ reservoir levels:
