ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – There are power hitters, then there is Juan Gonzalez.  Arguably the most prolific hitter in Rangers history, Juan Gone’s numbers have earned him the #5 spot of the 21 Best Rangers Ever.

The undisputed home run king of the Rangers, Gonzalez’s name is fixed firmly in the Rangers Hall of Fame records room with 372 homers in a Rangers uniform.  Joining the team full-time in 1991, Gonzalez quickly became a superstar, winning 5 Silver Slugger awards, appearing in two All-Star games and winning the American League MVP award in 1996 and 1998.

He’s also the team’s RBI leader, with 1,180 runs added to the Ballpark’s old manual scoreboard to his credit.

So for his 13 years in Arlington and his practically building the ballpark (search the web and you can find him working construction in a photo-op) you’ve ranked him near the top of the 21 Best Rangers Ever.
