Summer may be almost over, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to end. There are a number of great arts & culture events to check out this September, the perfect way to celebrate the start of a new season.
Dallas Art Dealers Association Fall Gallery Walk

Want to discover new art and meet fellow art lovers? The annual Fall Gallery Walk will feature over thirty-five of Dallas Art Dealers Association’s galleries, museums, and art spaces. This free event allows participants to roam different galleries and see the best art the city has to offer. There will also be informative panel discussions with artists and gallery owners, so participants will get to mingle. All you need are good walking (or driving shoes) and an open mind for art. Music fans, get thee to the tree-lined law of the Will Rogers Memorial Center to hear some of the biggest and most exciting names in jazz, pop, gospel and R&B at the Jazz by the Boulevard Music and Arts Festival, now on its ninth year. For two days, you will not only hear great music on the lawn of the Will Rogers Memorial Center, but can also enjoy the many art and food offerings from dozens of vendors and community organizations participating in the fest.

An event that comic fans should definitely fit into their Labor Day plans is this year’s AnimeFest, a celebration of all things anime, manga and Japanese pop culture. Anime fans will no doubt be anticipating the appearances by comic artists and voice actors, as well as the very popular cosplay events. If that’s not enough excitement for you, the fest is also featuring a 24-hour video theater.
