Kennedale Teacher Indicted On Student Sex Charges

By Chuck Schechner, KRLD 1080

FORT WORTH (KRLD 1080) – A Tarrant County grand jury has indicted a teacher on charges she had sex with five of her students.

Brittni Colleps was arrested back in May. The 27-year old teacher at Kennedale High School is accused of having sex with five boys, some in her Arlington home.

Court records say on one occasion all five students were there at the same time.

Lex Johnston is her attorney. Johnston says there have been no plea negotiations and they don’t know if it’s going to a trial or not. Apparently there were sexually-related text messages between Colleps and one of the students.

The mother of three is free on bond.

Kennedale ISD put Colleps on administrative leave after her arrest in May.

altha, im not going to get into your “white” comment. black and hispanic teachers do it as well. yes, the teacher was stupid. your remark is stupid as well.

after the recent verdict in the Episcopal School of Dallas trial that awarded 9.3 million dollars to a family over a student teacher relationship you can expect 5 kennedale families to be contacting lawyers to get a piece of this action while its hot. i think that decision was a terrible landmark decision that puts hundreds of districts in financial crisis just defending suits or paying out of court settlements. lawyers are allready looking at resort properties over this.
