NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - With the average interest rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage hovering around 4-percent, some North Texans are looking to buy their first home and a cable television program wants to be there through the process.
“My First Place”, a show on HGTV, is casting first-time homebuyers for their upcoming season. The show is looking for folks in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who are “fun, high-energy people”.
My First Place would follow the prospective homebuyers through the looking, bidding and buying process.
The shows, taped this fall and winter, will follow chosen North Texans for at least 10 days over a 3-month period.
Singles, couples and families are all encouraged to apply.
Those chosen will receive a participation fee and a DVD copy of their show.
