ALLEN (CBSDFW.COM) – A night prowler in Allen has police concerned about victims and the suspect.
The suspect is believed to be a teenager, and he’s broken into three homes this month.
Allen Police have issued this alert to citizens and are worried either a homeowner or the burglar will be killed during another confrontation.
The suspect broke into three houses off South Allen Heights Drive this month while homeowners were inside asleep.
Police say he opened and climbed through an unlocked window at one home and had a face to face encounter with a 23-year-old woman inside. She says she grabbed his arm and scared him off.
Sydney McFarland told CBS 11 she was too startled to be scared when she confronted him. “My parents said ‘I can’t believe that you grabbed him, I would have screamed,’ but I just said ‘what are you doing in my house?’ and then he took off.”
In two other breakins, the burglar stole property. What has police and victims stunned is the intruder appears to be a young teenager.
Police say the is between 5’6 and 5’8 and weighs only 150 pounds. It’s believed he lives near the area where these breakins are happening.
