aransasjudge 2004 Video Shows Aransas Judge Beating Disabled Daughter

Screen capture from YouTube video uploaded by Hillary Adams.

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A disabled woman has taken revenge on her father, Judge William Adams, by posting on YouTube a secretly filmed video of him beating her with a leather belt.

The shocking film shows Court-at-Law Judge William Adams from Aransas County, Texas, repeatedly striking his daughter Hillary as she whimpers in agony.

According to a note attached to the posting Hillary claims she was beat for acquiring music and games on internet sites her parents disapproved of.

Taken in 2004 when the girl was 16, the footage has swept the Internet after she decided last week to make it public by uploading it to the web.

The graphic video contains violence and offensive language.

Update: From the Aransas County website.

Judge Burt Mills has announced that Aransas County is aware of the video posted on YouTube regarding County Court-at-Law Judge William Adams, and the matter is now under review by the Police Department.

Please refrain from communication with County offices or the Sheriff’s Department on this matter until the review has been completed. Calls, emails, and faxes only create disruptions for other ongoing county business. The public’s cooperation would be most appreciated.

This man needs to apoligize, walk away from his job and just go away – Nobody should have to take this type of abuse. Just shows us more and more of what we do not know happens behind closed doors. What else has this man done? There was a time when this would not be tollerated.

  • Arrest That Asshat!

I’m all for corporal punishment, but this is excessive. He needs to be arrested. I’ve lost it with my daughter, but still exercised restraint when spanking. What I saw in that video was far beyond spanking. She’s also disabled, which makes this even worse if she was disabled at the time of this incident. I personally would love to mule-kick him in the nuts.

Why does it seem that the worst stories involving the judicial system are in Texas? An equally disturbing story was just published about a Texas federal court case: http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=362537

…and some quotes from the judge:

THE COURT: “I’m telling you don’t scr-w with me. You are a fool, a fool, a fool, a fool to scr-w with a federal judge, and if you don’t understand that, I can make you understand it. I have the force of the Navy, Army, Marines and Navy behind me.”

THE COURT: “You realize that order is an order of the Court. So any failure to comply with that order is contempt, punishable by lots of dollars, punishable by possible jail, death”

ive watched the video. ive seen the matt laur interview. both several times. with the exception that the punishment was overly long and verbally abusive as well the spanking violated no laws in texas that i am aware of. was it a good judgemental call to spank a 16 year old girl. NO. her cerebral palsy disability apparently is extremely minor as it does not affect her physical or mental functions and has no obvious apprearence or motor skill dysfunctions.
i have an 8 year old grandson with cerebral palsy who does show some physical deformation otherwise he is an articulate, intelligent and active normal 8 year old boy.
i think the girl should have been punished for what she did but i think other forms of punishment less physical would have been appropriate. i also think the release of the video is the result of some issues not fully disclosed between the father and daughter and the daughter played her hole card as an act of vengence more than anything else. time and investigation may reveal information we do not have at this time. perhaps it would be better to wait until more of this saga is revealed to pass final judgement.

I think too many people are ready to “hang” the judge for this! It is HIS daughter…she obviously did something that she shouldn’t have done! However, I think she is a vengeful horrible person for doing something like this to her Mom and Dad! This happened 7 years ago….to post it now, is just vengeful!!!

Dr Gearing is wrong…this is ALL about revenge and for whatever reason the daughter has chosen now to “use” it. It’s obvious to me that she held on to the tape for just the right time to “use” it to exact punishment on her father but it effects her mother too. Then the media put the “disabled” tag on there and everyone is ready to get a rope. Maybe the “beating” was excessive and maybe it wasn’t..I bet this girl wasn’t in a bunch of trouble for the last several years.
