Fire Leaves Four Cleburne Families Homeless

CLEBURNE (CBSDFW.COM) – Four Cleburne families lost just about everything when their apartments were destroyed in a fire last night.

When firefighters arrived just before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night flames were shooting out of the roof at the front and back of the two-story building.

The fire was so intense that firfighters were ordered out of the building for fear of the roof caving in, and fought it from the outside.

The fire was under control by midnight but fire crews stayed on-site through the night working on hot spots.

18 people live in the destroyed homes. The Red Cross is being asked to help.
