DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – One of the children accused of pushing a Dallas teen in front of DART train may face prosecution as an adult.

One of the boys, aged 14, was in a Dallas juvenile court Thursday.  The court said it will do an evaluation of the offense that killed 19-year-old Octavius Lanier.

The court will recommend on how to proceed based on a number of factors, including the seriousness of the offense and the maturity level of the defendant.

A judge is expected to make a final ruling in January.
