FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – When the Fort Worth Stock Show began in 1896, there was no such thing as social media.
But as the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo opens up for 2012, it will be the most advanced show yet.
The stock show also has a new presence on twitter and facebook. And smart phone users at the show can scan QR codes on display to direct them to a downloadable app.
That’s where you can get schedules, judging results and a GPS map showing you where you are.
Cal White, the stock show’s new social media manager says the technology is need to meet the growing demand at this year’s show.
