Vandals Shoot Out Dozens Of Windows In Weatherford

WEATHERFORD (CBSDFW.COM) – Someone damaged dozens of vehicles and homes in Weatherford, with either a pellet or BB gun.

Between Sunday night and Monday morning someone shot out 28 car, truck and home windows.

Weatherford Deputy Police Chief Wayne Slimp said there is no common thread to the crimes.

“It’s just nerve-wracking. It’s crazy. It’s just a pain for everybody,” Slimp said frustrated. “It’s a pain for us and definitely a pain for those people trying to get windows replaced, especially with the rainstorm coming in. It’s just all around a mess!”

Some of the vehicles were burglarized but most just had broken glass damage.

While no arrests have been made, investigators have some leads and are checking out possible suspects.

There have been several other instances of parked cars and trucks across the Metroplex being damaged in the last weeks, but Slimp said he does not believe the crimes are related.

Want to bet that these lowlifes have rich parents and that their defense will be “we were just bored”? And that the parents will hire high-priced lawyers to defend their “innocent young babies”?
