‘Instead’ App Changing The World One Click At A Time

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A pair of North Texas developers want to change the way you see charitable giving and social media.

Micah Davis and Josh Alltop created the Instead app as a way for people to give back.

It works by people donating the money to a charity of choice INSTEAD of spending it on lunch or a cup of coffee.

The two recently sat down with CBS 11’s Tracy Kornet to talk about their venture:

The Instead app is available in the iTunes store or at their website insteadapp.com.  Davis and Alltop say they hope to have the app available in the Android Market in February.

It’s a little ironic that you would post a story about an iPhone/iPad app and include a Flash video which can’t be played on those devices, as I discovered when I accessed the story from my iPad.

  2. Micah Davis says:

Loved the way that the video story turned out! Thanks a mil to Tracy and all of the awesome folks at CBS!

@Fred…sorry about that man, looks like HTML5 videos are still needing integration throughout the web.
