DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A 58-year-old man was found dead in the bathroom of his apartment in the 7800 block of Meadow Park Sunday with apparent burn injuries, said Dallas Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Evans.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner identified the man as Byron Forester.  The cause of death is unclear, but arson investigators are looking into the incident. Dallas Fire Rescue crews were called to the apartment at 4:05 p.m. after someone called in a report of a smoke odor.

Evans said there was “very minor” fire damage inside the unit, although there was smoke. Evans had no further information, citing the infancy of the investigation.
