FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A drunken driver slammed into a pedestrian Saturday, sending the victim flying in the air over the intersection of Las Vegas Trail and Calmont Ave., a police spokesman said.

Fort Worth police spokesman Pedro Criado said Brian Jason Hopkins, 28, was traveling westbound on Calmont Ave. at 2:34 a.m. and heard a crunch. He looked up and saw a man launched into the air.

The victim was hit in the southbound side of the street and ended in the northbound side. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

That man was identified as Ronnie Brice, 56. Hopkins was charged with intoxication manslaughter and remains in the Tarrant County Jail Sunday.

    Notice how they post a picture of the driver when the driver is white, yet there is never a picture when the driver is hispanic?
