Gun Sales Boom In Expectation Of Obama Re-election

FORT WORTH (AP) – Gun sales are booming across Texas, and some buyers say their growing belief that President Barack Obama’s re-election is inevitable is fueling their race to bear more arms.

So brisk have sales been that the rush has created a nationwide shortage of firearms and ammunition, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Fort Worth gun shop owner DeWayne Irwin says the rush is similar to one seen shortly after the president’s 2008 election.

Alan Korwin, author of nine books on gun laws and operator of a gun laws website, tells the Star-Telegram that some are worried that Obama’s re-election would embolden a major gun control push. Irwin says the belief is fueled by perceived disarray in the field of candidates for the Republican presidential nomination.

Obama had absolutely NOTHING to do with the elimination of Bin Laden, and he did NOT save the Auto industry– taxpayers money did that. Obama will always take credit when credit is not due him. I agree Chris. President Obama has shown he has the guts and intelligence to do what need to be done. All these gun nuts have not noticed that NOT ONE change has happened to the gun laws since he has been president. Most of the gun nuts have paranoid personalities and use guns as their personal teddy bears to help them feel safe. Most are white and most are from the south. Most rational people know that President Obama is a strong supporter of the second amendment and has expanded gun rights in the US. With that said I am glad that all the nut jobs are out spending money and boosting the economy.

Yeah right JMA. He’s been president for 4 years. The first 2 years he could have passed a ton of gun control laws with a democratic congress but he wasn’t concerned with that. ChrisK, this whole Fast and Furious Fiasco was initiated by the Obama Administration via the Holder led Justice Department to funnel as many guns into Mexico as possible to create the illusion that American guns were leaving Jim Bob’s Sporting Goods Store on the border and going straight into Mexico. Remember, Hillary Clinton and the president of Mexico tried and failed to show that it was American weapons that were fueling the war with the drug cartels, so Fast and Furious was engineered to salvage that false claim with phony evidence. In reality, the cartels were armed with weapons that corrupt Mexican soldiers and police had sold to them, as well as fully automatic weapons from Venezuela. The DOJ/BATFE guns were just more guns in the mix south of the border. Now we know that two of these guns were used to kill two U.S. federal officers and others used to kill hundreds or thousands of Mexican soldiers, police, court and civic officials, and uninvolved bystanders.

Not surprisingly, Holder gets caught lying to the House sub-committee and senior BATFE officials are showing up at the hearings with their own lawyers in tow. I guess they won’t be “falling on their own swords” like they were asked to do for Janet “Waco” Reno 15 years ago.

Yet, the Obama thugs in Washington are starting a series of highly publicized gun control actions. I guess they didn’t learn anything from Bill Clinton’s warning to steer clear of the issue of gun control — or pay the terrible consequences on Election Day.
