Outside of the beauty spring brings to the North Texas area, it also brings wonderful concerts and performances to our area. Whether you enjoy an inside concert or the sound of music being played outside in the fresh air, the North Texas area has it all this spring.

The Fort Worth Community Band consists of 84 musicians, a diverse group and a fully instrumented symphonic band. This concert is a great way to spend an afternoon. Conductor Henry Schraub said he’s pleased with the talent his group displayed, praising it as a great ensemble.

The Plano Community Band is an all-volunteer wind band that performs 10 to 12 free concerts for the public each year. Band members are made up of all ages and backgrounds, and they appreciate their audience as much as the audience appreciates them. Spend your Sunday evening with this talented group of musicians.

The concert is put on by The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, who are in their 35th season. The Youth Concert is always a fun event with over 300 young singers participating. There is plenty of seating available in the 1800 seat Bruton Theatre. You can buy your tickets at their box office or online at Ticketmaster.com.

Attending an outdoor concert at the Dallas Arboretum is a wonderful way to spend an evening. You’ll never be bored as the concerts are always different. Whether you are interested in ’80s music, The Beatles, country or disco, you can find it on a Tuesday or Thursday evening at the Arboretum. You get the benefit of a gorgeous view from the green hillside to watch the concert performance. Bring a fold out chair or a picnic blanket and prepare to have fun.
