DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and his wife Candice Crawford have welcomed a new addition to their family.

The rumor started circulating on Twitter Monday night that Candice was in labor and today those rumors were confirmed to be true.

Dallas Cowboys spokesperson Rich Dalrymple said Tuesday that Hawkins Crawford Romo was born at 5:30 p.m. Monday April 9th. Hawkins checked in at 19 3/4 inches and 8 pounds, 8 ounces.

It is the first child for the Romo’s who were married in May 2011.

The Cowboys begin official team activities and minicamps next month, with training camp beginning in Oxnard, Calif., in late July.
