DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Feeling some heat from earlier comments, Dwyane Wade took to Twitter Thursday to try and clarify is pay-for-play Olympic comments. But the damage was done.
Yes! Earlier a couple of multi-millionaire NBA players, Ray Allen of the Celtics and Dwyane Wade of the Heat, decided to promote the cause that professional players should be paid to play in the Olympics.
Wade was quoted Wednesday saying he thinks “guys should be compensated” for playing over the summer and noted the schedule demands of being an Olympian.
After the backlash Wade later tweeted (@DwyaneWade) that pride for his country “motivates me more than any $$$ amount.”
