WACO (AP) – Baylor freshman standout Quincy Miller has changed his mind and is declaring for early entry in the NBA draft.
Bears coach Scott Drew said Tuesday that Miller has decided to skip his final three seasons of eligibility. Miller had said two weeks ago that he was staying at Baylor for his sophomore season.
Drew says additional information gathered after Miller’s previous decision gave the player and his family more to consider.
Miller averaged 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds while starting 35 of 37 games. Baylor had a school-record 30 wins and advanced to the NCAA round of 16 for the second time in three seasons.
Perry Jones III has already said he is leaving Baylor after his sophomore season and declaring for the draft.
