FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Fort Worth Police are investigating a pair of related shootings on the city’s south side.

The first came in just after 10:30 p.m. in the 7400 block of Tallow Wind Trail. Police say a 19-year-old was involved in a struggle with two other men near a white car at the Hulen Garden Apartments.

The teen was shot in the stomach.

A short time later, that car was spotted in the 7400 block of South Meadow about 2.5 miles away from the first incident.

When police arrived, they found a second victim who had been shot twice in the calf and once in the wrist. Fort Worth’s gang unit has been brought in to help investigate, but police did not release information about the motivation behind the shootings.

Both victims are expected to survive their injuries and have not been identified. Police did not issue a description of the suspects.
