FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A 61-year-old woman was arrested Monday for propositioning herself to an undercover officer, a Fort Worth police incident report shows.

After receiving a complaint alleging she was advertising herself as an escort online, the report says an officer set up a private meeting on Monday with Wanda Joyce Lancaster, 61, at a home in the 7100 block of Sunnybank Drive.

While there, Lancaster is accused of agreeing to “engage in multiple sex acts” with the undercover officer. She was arrested and charged with prostitution.

The police report says Lancaster advertised her services in Dallas and Fort Worth classified sites run by

Village Voice Media, the parent company of the Dallas Observer and 13 other alternative newspapers nationwide, owns the classified site.

The site offers a category for “escorts,” although its Terms of Use page restricts users from listing anything not “permitted under applicable, federal, state and local law.”

In a suit the company filed Monday against the state of Washington, the Associated Press reported argued it is protected under the federal Communications Decency Act, which says online service providers are not responsible for the content of ads placed by third parties.
