DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – On August 2, more than 35,000 are expected to attend Dallas Mayor Pro-Tem Pauline Medrano’s Back to School Fair at Fair Park.

As such, Medrano expects long lines that day and urges parents to sign up at a host of pre-registration events across the city beginning July 12 and ending July 28. Find a list of those locations by heading to this link.

The fair is a collaborative event between the city of Dallas, the Dallas Independent School District, schools in the Dallas area, the public health department, state agencies, nonprofit organizations, corporations and volunteers.

Parents can attend and receive free school supplies for their child. All they have to do is register.
